Everything had to be delivered by "room service" + a tip (Ice etc)
Convenient (1 block from T stop). Clean. A lot of staff doing upkeep type tasks during day hours. Very quiet. Good location for walking. Didn't like the desk computer (keyboard on the screen). Breakfast was over priced for minimal buffet (big time). Menu was OK. Great coffee. In general it was a pleasant experience. Mom and adult daughter vacation. Had a couple of maintenance issues and staff came right up and fixed them. Took 1 hour to get room service. Seemed like an eternity. Didn't actually show up until we called and wondered where the food was. read more

Staff were wonderful and I got a nice free upgrade.
Online concierge, WiFi and safe in room didn't work, tub was old and dirty.
Lovely old boutique hotel in a great location. Staff are a cut above most hotels. Elevators and some fixtures are a little old and creaky, but that adds to the historic charm. I got a free upgrade to a suite and my room was very lovely though I had no view. Only flaws were that the online concierge service, WiFi and safe in my room did not work properly and the tub was older and less clean than the other, newer bathroom fixtures. Restaurants in hotel are good, but very expensive. read more

My room was more like an apartment. It had a hallway, closets, sitting room, bedroom, separate bath, and even a bar in an alcove
the view from my window (an alley)
This is a fabulous place to stay in a great location in Boston. The bed was extremely comfortable, the A/C was already on and we never needed to adjust it in the week we stayed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Convenient and beautiful location along tree and brownstone-lined Commerce Avenue.
Lobby is well-decorated and staffed but not large.
The Eliot Hotel very much adheres to old-school hospitality. I was always greeted with personal service that didn't make me feel crowded. The doorman knew me by my second day and would manage to ask me where I was headed and if I needed directions or recommendations without me feeling put upon. The building façade is old, but the hotel is anything but. The interior has been nicely renovated, and the rooms are very comfortable. read more
