Staff.
Walls very thin. Could hear people in next room.

Excellent location, excellent staff. Only drawback are some of the facilities. My bathroom was missing a shower guard, problem with TV and you heard everything from the adjoining rooms.

No full length mirror in the room.

Tiny bathroom totally inadequate, no room for towels!

It is cozy and comfortable. The suites are lovely and homey.
The staff seemed untrained and unresponsive. I had to ask for a light bulb three times.

The Eliot is a lovely hotel but they need to train their staff more about responding quickly and learning more about recommendations concerning restaurants, etc in Boston instead of handing you a booklet without comment. The hotel seems a bit tired but still warm and cozy. I would definitely return as I have many times before.
