Our hotel room was flooded, the entire floor and we were transfered to a poor hotel with bugs.

We were beyond disgusted with the way they treated us at this hotel. We got there around 12 to find out what time check-in was. They told us to return at 1. So, we wasted some time and returned back around 1:30 to find out our entire floor had been flooded after a morning rain. They told us they had no other option but to send us to The Royal Palm hotel. Why couldn't they have told us this when we first got there so we had time to find another place that was actually decent? We had a room reserved for 2 queen beds when we got transferred to the other hotel we were placed in a room with 1 bed and it had bugs. Seeing that there was a football game going on we had no other choice. It made our trip miserable, we will never go back to that hotel again. I am waiting to be comp'd on my room still. They also still made us pay for parking. read more

My wife and I liked the remodeled bath.
The lady at the front desk that checked us in was not friendly.

That puts it in the same category as Eden Roc which is no comparison. This hotel is being renovated and it negatively impacts the quality of the stay. The hotel bed was fairly comfortable but the pillows need improvement.

Pool / beach area was great.
Floors were a little noisy, and room layout was weird.

A good deal for the discounted price especially if you spend all your time at the beach / pool. Make sure you ask for a quiet room or you will be put by the creaky elevator or the construction.

The Aveda products in the bathroom.
The constant slamming of hall doors that reverberated all night.

Not my favorite. Would not recommend. Would not stay there again. The toilet was right by the room door, in a separate closet, on the complete opposite side of the room from the sink/shower. I have also never experienced a hotel where every time a door slammed down the hall, the room shook.

It was in a beautiful location with the beach and the grounds where wonderful, The Bed was to die for and the staff was really nice.
It was really far from ocean drive and all the action on southbeach. Bathroom was really small.

The staff was by far what made this place the best place we stayed on our trip to miami, The beach thier is beautiful and the grounds where really well kept. The room and the beds where really nice. The only thing it was really far to ocean drive, do not attempt to walk you will not be happy just get a cab,other than that the place was great.
