Price. Good value for the money.
Distance from business district.
Right ON the beach. Walk to shops and restaurants. Free breakfast and newspaper. Inside room with no view is just fine for the purpose of a clean place to sleep. No frills. No parking. Unloading area was available. But then you need to find your own parking on the street.

Location to beach
Inconvenient parking and needs updating.
Easy to find, not easy to get in as parking is across the street. Room was large but furniture needs updating, very worn and not as clean as I would like. Very convenient to the beach and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location was very good and the beach was very clean.
The hotel location was great, the beach was steps from the back door. A 20 minutes drive to Charleston.

rooms were small but clean
no hot water on first night
Parking was across street in another area and we were charged an extra 5.00 a day. We were not told about the lack of hot water by the manager and had a prospective customer tell us out in the hallway. Beds were nice and roooms were clean. There was no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door and we had to ask for it. Continental breakfast had canned gravy for biscuits.

Location is good.
Dirty, filthy, gross.
If I would have had a sleeping bag with me, I would have slept in it rather than the bed.

Proximity to the beach.
Cleanliness was an issue and pool closed way too early.
I liked the price of the hotel, but the pictures totally were of somewhere else. The continental breakfast was a joke. The orange juice was hot, when it was working; the selection of bagels and breads were never restocked and trash was overflowing out of the cans all the while employees kept walking in and out of the buffet area. We stayed for 2 nights. Our second day that we were there, it stormed and we stayed in our room for most of the day. Our room was never cleaned, until 4 pm when the maid came to the door. I had already made the room bearable so I asked for more towels and shampoo. I have never had housekeeping come so late before in any hotel that I've stayed in. All in all, the location is great. Service is below par. read more

Proximity near beach.
Really great experience at Palms Hotel. Hotel is right on the beach, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, great stay. Room can be a little noisy from neighbors but nothing extreme. Room was clean and kept very well.

It was right on the beach. It was easy to find parking but we went in the off season.
No parking at the hotel only space for loading and unloading.
The hotel is located right on the beach. Next time I would request a room with a view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we moved rooms due to a child crying and pulling on the adjourning room door handle. The rooms are old but were comfortable.

Beautiful view, conveniently located around shopping and dining, friendly staff, good continental breakfast, nice towels, bedding and bath were clean.
Needed dusting, shower curtain was torn wouldn't close all the way, screen door was off, no parking, toilet stops up easily, little musty.
Overall our stay was nice. The bedding and bathroom was clean. They had a good continental breakfast. The staff was friendly. The hotel could have done a few things that would have made the room more appealing. It needed to be dusted and the screen door was off and just sitting on the balcony. The shower curtain was torn so you couldn't close it all the way. The low flow toilet stopped up very easily. You had to park out on the street because they don't have any parking. We weren't able to find a place to park on Saturday night but they were kind enough to let us park in the unloading area. read more
