Description of The Peabody Memphis
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 14-story luxury hotel is an excellent example of Italian Renaissance Revival architecture and is rich in the imagery of the early 20th century Delta region. It is home to the Peabody Marching Ducks, who travel to and from the Grand Lobby fountain everyday at 11AM and 5PM, in a ritual that has become internationally famous. The Peabody recently completed a top-to-bottom, multi-million dollar renovation that included all guest rooms and public spaces. Located in the heart of downtown, The Peabody is just three blocks from Beale Street. read more

Upscale hotel with bonus of Peabody ducks marching.
Crowded lobby (even when not for the Duck march) and staff seemed a little short with customers.

A beautiful hotel, with the added bonus of the Peabody ducks. The staff were a little short with customers, and not as welcoming as I would have expected.

Ducks in the fountain.
$16 parking fee and $10 activity fee. Lame.

The Wi-Fi isn't secure and they nailed me with extra fees. I would probably just book it through the hotel.

The staff was friendly and accommodating; especially when we locked our key in the room.
Sorry, can't think of a thing. It would have been too costly if not for Priceline!

The Hotel sits withing a block of all of the action on Beale street and great restaurants. Great visible security both inside and out. Great staff and impeccable rooms. Convenient stores inside the hotel.

Historic elegance entertaining ducks in lobby fountain right off Beal street.
bath room showing age with chipped and repainted wood work

The front lobby is truly lovely We picked a couch next to the fountain in the front lobby ordered high tea and took lots of pictures as the ducks made their march to the fountain! It's a grand and historic hotel and we won the privilege to stay there at half the normal price. This grand hotel should not be missed.
