Description of The Pfister Hotel
In the late 1800's, Guido Pfister set out to realize his dream - to build "The Grand Hotel of the West." Where each guest would be greeted with a warm welcome, their comfort and every need treated with highest priority. Now, more than a century later, this same attention to detail, this same commitment to uncompromising service, this same warm welcome, is yours to enjoy at the elegant Pfister Hotel. From the 19th century European architectural style to the gracious appointments of every room and suite, your stay at The Pfister is a perfect balance of Old World charm and modern luxury. Today, Guido Pfister's dream continues to serve as the proud standard by which other hotels are measured. The corridors and galleries are accented with the largest collection of 19th century Victorian art on display in any hotel in the world. And the fine boutiques, salons and shops cater to life's necessities and indulgences alike. The Pfister's full array of accomodations are specially tailored to meet your personal needs. Its part of the rich heritage of hospitality that defines The Pfister. In the exclusive East Town neighborhood, three blocks from Lake Michigan, close to the Milwaukee Art Museum, convention center, shopping and entertainment. Mitchell Int'l. The "grande dame of Milwaukee", this 1893 Downtown Victorian is an "elegant", "sophisticated" "unexpected pleasure"; the "lobby is gorgeous", the "charming", though "smallish", rooms are "beautiful" and the top-floor bar with views is "wonderful", so even if a few modernists deem it "tired", most find a "unique" "Midwestern classic."

Very nice public spaces and friendly staff.
One of the robes in our room was torn, our dinner with room service arrived cold, and there was a small amount of garbage left in the can.

It was LUSH!
Charging $25 for parking like there were any other choices in downtown Milwaukee.

The hotel was full for the weekend but the hotel put me on the 22nd floor in the parlor of the presidential suite. They put up a pull out bed in this huge beautiful room with a fantastic view. The bathroom was small but I didn’t care since I was there for summer fest and it was the location of the hotel I was interested in & I was barely in the room anyways. High class all the way! read more

Beautiful hotel. Great history and architecture.
$25.00 overnight parking.

The hotel is simply elegant. Right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Close to the waterfront and many activities and night spots. I would most certainly stay again.
