Quietness and space.
Having to pay for internet service and no free continental breakfast for the price.
Overall a good experience, just disappointed at the lack of breakfast without a cost when you have to drive a distance to get a breakfast at a reasonable cost for a family. Internet cost of $12.95 for 24 hours was unacceptable.

Clean grounds well maintained.
Below average rooms.
Rooms were not 4 star as advertised. Old, smelled of disinfectant, paper thin walls made the room noisy. Dirty shower curtain

Great location, Very clean hotel. Expansive setting.
The air conditioner was noisy and ran off and on all night.
Convenient to the Scottsdale commercial district. Beautiful grounds. Very suitable for both business and causal travel. Well maintained! Bathrooms a little dated.

I would recommend this hotel and I would love to go back and golf. The grounds were very peaceful and beautiful. I would recommend this to a company planning a conference.

Grounds and leisure facilities were very good, and nice pools.
Hotel room needs better soundproofing, Remington's restaurant a bit pricey and dated.

The bellmen.
Rooms were paper thin walls and very out dated.
The people who work there are very nice. The food in the lounge was okay. I don't see it to be a 5 star resort. They did have a lot of things like tennis, putt putt, nice looking pool. Rooms are better at Motel 6. They smell bad.

Enormous rooms, facing inner courtyard.
Can tell property is a little old, although well kept.
The hotel is more for the stay with families, because the rooms are some of the largest I've ever stayed in! With 2 double beds, there was still room for a table/2 chairs, and then a separate reading armchair/lamp, and a huge bar area, where they easily could slip in a mini fridge and microwave (there's lots of room for snacks, etc.). The rooms all face an open courtyard, which might not appeal to some, but I loved waking up to birdsong, and a view of grass/trees, rather than a parking lot or a roof. We had great luck with a wonderful concierge, who gave us great restaurant advice for Old Town Scottsdale. He also mentioned that in busy times of the year, there is actually a trolley that runs from the hotel to downtown Scottsdale. The exercise room/handball court was gorgeous. On the negative side, the shower/toilet area is painfully minuscule, but there is a separate sink/dressing area to keep from getting too cramped. read more
