Unless you wander, you won't see much of the hotel! Though the halls and room are spacious, the hotel itself is sandwiched in between buildings and hard to spot. Really beautiful rooms - sitting room, large bed room and large bathroom.

Gorgeous, warm, Craftsman style appointments. Rooms are well-laid-out, configured to give maximum space. Everything is quiet and muted. Bathroom fixtures work well. My one maintenance problem (a light bulb was out) was attended to within 5 minutes. Excellent bell service.

My first stay overnight in a hotel in Chicago was made all the more pleasant by the choice of the Silversmith. It was worth going to and I would recommend it to any traveler heading to this city. Rooms, service, everything about the hotel more than met my expectations and I intend to make reservations with the hotel when I return.
