Great location and lovely room.
The fixtures were old, so shower was poor and air con was loud. There was no fridge in room either.
I liked the hotel overall and the rooms were comfortable and nice. However, it is an ld building that new Air conditioning units and new plumbing. I felt it was a bit over priced considering it did not include breakfast, did not have a fridge and there were no robes or added touches like that. I was impressed with the gym though, and the location is great.

The price was great and location was interesting, and there was an excellent view from room.
Hallways and doors were scuffed, looked dated with a coat of paint.
The hotel was OK for the price. Not really bad for a 1 night stay alone. I would not bring a spouse for a romantic weekend. Everything seemed a little worn with another coat of paint on top and then cuffed with shoe marks.

The bed and bedding was very nice. Room was good size, though bathroom was small.
No towel ring/rack in the bathroom and was inconvenient. No convenience shop. No newspaper available.
This is a lovely hotel both in the room and the public areas. Away from the hustle-bustle of Union square which is good for the quiet, but wear your walking shoes if you are on foot, as it is nearly at the top of Nob hill, up very steep sidewalks. My only criticisms are that there are no towel ring/racks in the sink area of the bathroom, and there is no in-house convenience store. It was not possible to buy a newspaper, and there were no newspapers available at the concierge - they had run out. The newspaper boxes on the sidewalks require 4 quarters which I did not have, so I went to Illy's coffee across the street and bought a coffee I didn't need, in order to buy the newspaper. Aside from those small items, it is 4 star and very nice. read more

Nothing.
The accommodation were not up to my expectations of four star hotels.
No mini bar, no shampoo, binds for the windows but they did not black out, so too bright at night to sleep.

Beautiful rooms, great service, and a great location. Highly recommend this hotel, particularly if you can get a good price on Priceline!

Location.
They charged me $105 to park my car with them without any warning on check-in.
Hotel was nice enough. In my opinion I was taken advantage of regarding the parking charge they levied on me upon check-out. I would not have stayed here if I knew that was going to be the case.

Very cool location.
I waited four hours to check in.
Stay at any Marriott and save some money. The room was only 3 star, but the location on Nob Hill has nice. The Stanford Inn staff kept me waiting from 3 PM until 6 PM for my room and Never called me when the room was finally ready, like they said they would.
