"Get swept away" at this "Italian gem in the desert", a "huge", "all-suite" "city under one roof" in the "center of the Strip", touting "luxurious rooms", "endless quality dining" (from top toques like David Burke and Mario Batali), an "attentive staff", plus an on-site Canyon Ranch Spa and "great shopping" along the Grand Canal "mall" ("take a gondola ride"); though some bemoan the "maze"-like design, admirers ask "why would you ever leave?"; N.B. it shares amenities with its sister, Palazzo.

Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Venetian

Location was great & nice to see non smoking areas.
Walls were very thin, lighting in room was poor and the smell of the hotel was like old dead flowers.

I thought the Venetian was just OK. It was clean, but things were beginning to wear. Internet access was slow and not scaled for business use. For high end hotel no turn down service. I don't think it was worth the rating. The Ritz Carlton, W and even some of the Kimpton hotels are better quality and in some cases better priced. The walls were extremely thin - you could hear the neighbor's normal level conversation word for word and people's TVs. Woke up one morning to sound of person throwing up in hallway. Maid did not check back one day when we wanted a later room cleaning to provide fresh towels etc. For the level of hotel I expected better service and better general quality. Lighting in the room was extremely poor. I could barely see to put on my makeup. Very bad for working in the room too. read more

Room was attractive and well furnished with amenities.
Not possible to leave car to regisiter, then self park.

Parking attendants were not helpful with regard to registration procedure if self parking. Getting from self park to registration desk required considerable navigating without much in the way of direction. Not a positive start to the hotel experience.

Decor service restaurants. Room size and design.
The pool is very crowded on one side and empty on the other due to shade from sun due to hotel and pool location.

The theme was excellent, ceiling painting, Grand Canal, restaurants, best shows!
Several great polls, but very crowed by 10:00am, hard to find two lounge chairs.

The Venetian theme was excellent, the ceiling painting were spectacular, the Grand Canal and shops were amazing, fantastic quality restaurants, best three shows in Vegas! Blue man Group/Jersey Boys/Phantom of the Opera!

The staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful
The pool was only 5 feet deep

We upgraded our room to the Palazzo with a view of the strip. The upgrade was well-worth-it.

Great representation of what Las Vegas is all about.
Didn't like having to wait in long line for 20 minutes just to check-in.

Room was spacious, large, nice view of the strip on the 24th floor. Some of the furniture, carpeting, walls seemed worn down needed to be painted, replaced etc. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
