Dubbed The Great Southern Hotel over a century ago, this "quaint" landmark located "a bit off of the center of town" oozes "charm" and has been "attractively restored" "with taste and class"; there's a "grand open lobby" and "chic" (though "shoebox-size") accommodations with "wood floors", "Heavenly beds" and flat-panel TVs, and while some guests gripe about an inconvenient parking lot that "jacks the price up", the "super-friendly and helpful staff helps make this place shine."

There were dirty towels?

Very good hotel overall. People were friendly but dirty towels are not what I expected. I had to take two showers in a row after finding out 2 of the towels were tainted what looked like stool or maybe chocolate? Either way, it was dirty.

Friendly staff, central location and was
close to breakfast restaurants.
Was not told about the about the city parking garage across the street - $20 self parking at the hotel.

There was complimentary champagne for hotel guests at check-in on Friday. When asked the occasion they said We celebrate Fridays!
The adjacent parking lot was $20/night.

My wife and I were on a romantic getaway and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was built in the late 1800's and was remodeled a couple of years ago. The building itself is beautiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. At check-in we were upgraded to a junior suite. The room was comfortable and clean but the only closet couldn't open all the way because the furniture was too large for the space. The desk blocked the door. read more

The in-room entertainment was nice.
No bathtub, shower head broken, dirty shower, small room.

Definitely not what I would expect from the Westin name and a 4 star rating. Parking is $20 per night, access to hotel is on very busy downtown street. Very small room, no tub in bathroom, and the shower head was broken and snapped off during my shower. In-room moves EXTREMELY expensive, but the TV quality was very nice with a good selection of channels and HD channels. Bedding very nice. Overall decent room, but not for the star rating or price. More along the lines of a 3 star hotel. read more

The room and bathroom felt absolutely luxurious. It was a great refuge from the day's business.
It seems petty, but I really wanted a bath robe.
