Location, price (Priceline) room , view, and was comfortable.
Noisy in halls at night, crowded bathroom.

Very impressed with room, newly renovated, two big double beds with 4 pillows each,flat screen TV, view overlooking the harbor, cruise ships were in on Sunday. Overall very impressed, would absolutely stay there again for good price. (Not sure I would be there for their regular price (on the high side). Staff very competent-no complaints about any thing other than at night could hear everyone in hall. Great dealing with Priceline (first time). Thanks. read more

Nice classic hotel in the city.
Newly renovated room - with a badly cracked sink, drip tray for the heating, which also hissed all night.

I have stayed at the Nova Scotian before, and thought it would be a nice location for a romantic getaway. The clerk told us we were getting a newly renovated room. Great, we thought! Though there were new furnishings and wall coverings, the sink was very badly cracked, there was a plastic dollar store, wash basin under the heater to catch the splash, and the heater hissed all night long. The control for the heater lay loose on top with the wires exposed. read more

Room was very small, carpet stained, old bathtub.

We were, me and my sister with her 6 month old infant. We hardly had any room to put a small crib. We asked for a crib upon arrival at 6 pm, it only got to our room at 10 pm after calling twice for it.
