The "beautiful setting" "on the tail end of the Riverwalk" ("quiet at night, but still walkable to all the hoopla") is the main "attraction" of this chain outpost that "personalizes" the "fantastic Westin name" "with Southern charm" and "generous hospitality"; the "spacious" rooms are "outstanding" (especially those "overlooking" the river) and while the food "could be better", "there are lots of restaurants within minutes" (and plans for a new on-site eatery).

Excellent service and beautiful hotel.
We didn't like the in room Starbucks coffee.

The staff went out of their way to take care of us, the hotel is in a great location on the Riverwalk. The facility is beautiful, with large rooms.

The bedroom was definitely superior to Hilton, Marriott and similar chains.
Parking was somewhat awkward.

Great location, right on the Riverwalk, near all the action. Facilities all you would expect from a four-star.

Beautiful lobby and great amenities.
Room service food was mediocre, getting my car from valet took almost ½ hour when I left.

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre and not worth the cost especially for room service. My room was large, very comfortable and had a small deck overlooking the River Walk the view was not very pretty as it looked across to a parking garage and office building, but the room itself was great.

Close to Riverwalk and downtown, parking garage across the street , gave another option for parking instead of the hotel.

The hotel was close to the main attractions and businesses downtown. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Bus and trolley routes were close to hotel. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable.

The beds were very comfortable.
The pool was
very crowded and not very crowd friendly.

I have stayed here a few times and will come back! The only thing that I find to be a downfall is the pool area. Its not very big.

Beautiful lobby area, quick & easy check-in/out.
Spa too small & massage rooms too noisy.

Just a quick week-end get-away for myself and some of my friends. Location is great - just down the street from the South Bank area of the Riverwalk if you go out the front of the hotel. Only disappointment was the spa - where I had booked two appts and my friends several each. The spa is very small and limited. The massage rooms are close to all other areas of the spa and the pool so there is a lot of noise coming through. Not the most relaxing experience to hear the staff talking and ppl out at the pool. More sound-proofing needs to be done to this area to truly make it worth the high prices they charge. Other than that the spa was lovely and my services were adequate. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. Room was a little noisy with hallway traffic. I simply turned on a white noise machine to block it out. Bed was great! Didn't use room-service or parking so no additional charges to my room. The restaurant on site is very pricey as is the bakery option for a quick bite (basically a very similar menu to room-service in the bakery). No hot tub was a little bit of a let-down as well. No jetted tub in the room either so no where to soak. Pool is heated but I didn't use it as it was quite cold outside. Overall it was a lovely hotel with a beautiful lobby and friendly cordial staff. Room size was about average, bath a bit small but adequate. Would stay there again. read more
