Clean sheets and towels.
The front door to our room looked like it has been broken into sometime, so we were a bit nervous about safety.
Overall experience was good. Clean sheets and soft towels. We got a room pretty cheap, otherwise it wouldn't be worthy for us to stay there. The bed was more comfy than at some other hotels of that level we've stayed. Stuff was friendly enough. Breakfast had quite a few choices - not that we could have any of those cereals or waffles. Wish they had some fruit as well. Rooms had coffeemaker, TV, iron and iron board, hairdryer. They have a small outdoor pool too, but we didn't use it. read more

Easy interstate access close to Birmingham, AL
Some hardware in the room was a bit service worn, but servicable.
This is the second time this year that we have stayed in this hotel as it is very convenient to where we visit in Birmingham. The complimentary breakfast is a time saver and adequate. The staff had all the paperwork ready and check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Close to interstate and clean.
Extremely loud. Every word said in adjoining rooms heard.
Even for a 2 star moderate hotel, the check in is all wrong. I arrived at 9:30 pm and had to check in from the outside through a slit in the window. I aked the very young but courteous clerk if they had a problem with robberies and she said no. Meanwhile, other customers were lining up behind me, outside, waiting for their turn at the window. However, the main problem with this hotel is that it is loud. Thin walls are a part of cheap hotels but these were the thinest I've experienced. The killer is that the time honored way of dealing with this common problem is to turn up the AC to drown out the noise. However, these ac units shut off completely once they hit the temperature on the thermostat. We didn't get much sleep. read more

Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly and very accomdating to handicap persons.
We visit family every year and have been staying at the Jameson off and on for about 5 years we tried one of the other hotels but we felt very comfortable with the Jameson from the first time we stayed. We like the fact there many restaurants and shopping close by. the dining facilities are all that we need for morning early starts.
