Its location is about a mile from the Greek Theatre.
Parking is crowded.
It was all right considering it was all I could get that was close to the Greek Theatre. The room was cozy, the beds were comfy and the room was clean. For one star, I got more than I expected.

Very close to the university of Berkeley.
The hotel staff was very unaccommodating and inflexible.
The woman at the reception was very inflexible and generally non cooperative. Travelodge? More like Trouble lodge!

The hot water in the shower came on quickly and stayed on.
There was persistent street noise throughout the night.
The lodge is located right on University Avenue. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting the UC Berkeley campus, as I was for my orientation. It is what you expect given the price: Essentials are provided, but it is not Shangri-La. I must communicate one caveat though: If you are a light sleeper you might be stymied by the fair amount of street noise coming from the avenue. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and pointed us in the direction of a delicious cafe for breakfast (Au Coquelat). If you just need a bed and a roof for a night, then you could do far worse than the Berkeley Travelodge. read more

It was ok.
Had cold shower.
I would never stay there. I had a prepaid room. When I checked in I asked is there any other charges that I get, other than phone call. At the desk I was advised no. The next morning I was leaving, I thought about the people there, and I told myself let me give them the key so they can clean it for the next person. I could have left the key in the room.

The bathroom window - provided natural lighting.
Slightly seedy neighborhood.
Good for business travelers interacting with UC Berkeley - within easy walking distance of the campus.
