I liked happy hour at the bar.
In order to get Internet access in the room, one has to pay for this service.
It is lovely here because it is nestled on the marina. If it were not for this fact, it would be a boring, dull, dismal place to stay. I liked the hotel staff (including housekeeping) better at the Holiday Inn Suites at the Oakland Airport. It's okay here. Nothing to write home about.

Good quality for price, plenty of parking, close access to East Bay, free cookie!
Kind of far from public trans, but there are shuttles that go to the BART, supposedly.
This was great value for our money on Priceline.

Quite neighborhood, appropriate for its star rating, and there was no parking fee.

The marina and the water.
The building numbering systems.
I liked it. When I checked in, I got lost. Getting everything in the room while getting lost twice was exhausting. Your system of numbering buildings and the floors on those buildings is not so good. Otherwise, it was fun. On the marina, on the water. I even like there's no Wi-Fi.

Great scenery and ambiance.
No free wireless network in rooms.
This is another side of Berkeley. If you are used to the University environs, crossing over the freeway to the Marina is a different world. The hotel has exceptional scenery on the marina, it is well maintained, adequate free parking and extensive facilities for business and pleasure. A real gem.

Staff did not follow through with commitments
The hotel overall could have been nice if the lady at the front desk did not tell me I would have a King Bed with a Marina view and when I checked in I found out that I had a room with two double beds and no view! Overall the hotel was decent - nothing spectacular. If you stay here, watch out for the wildlife! They don't seemed to be fazed by humans...There is free parking, so that's always a plus. read more
