Coffee and simple breakfast available after 7:30am.
There was nothing specific about the hotel in either a negative or positive manner. It was, a small, clean hotel room in a tourist town. The bathroom was clean - the bed was clean. It did have a microwave and refrigerator which were nice.

The place was nice convenient and provided a decent breakfast. The let us check in early as well.
The parking area was a little small.
This place is nice for a weekend get away. It's walking distance to all restaurants and stores. It's a nice place for the price.

Cottage setting at a reasonable price.
Worrying about parking although we had no problem.
The staff was very friendly. The room was small but very clean and no unpleasant odors.

Great charm, new bathroom, easy parking and very clean.
Walls are a bit thin.
Great romantic get away potential, close, walking distance to Ocean Avenue shops and restaurants. A good buy for Carmel.

Charming setting & a very good location, close to restaurants.
Thin walls, could hear snoring next door.
The room was on the small side but quite functional and well appointed -nice bathroom! Common areas and landscaping were charming, with limited on-site parking but it was a very short walk to shopping and restaurants. I would still recommend this hotel and stay there again. It was an excellent value for a one to two night stay.

Room and bathroom were both large and clean.
Walls were paper thin - I could hear every word said in adjoining room.
Most impressive are the size of the room and large bathroom with nice fixtures. TV offers many selections. Complimentary breakfast was very nice. Downside, the walls were so thin I could hear every peep from the couple in the next room which was very annoying. If not for that, Iżd give this hotel a "9" for its class, but noise is a major drawback, especially in peaceful Carmel.

They have a wonderful continental breakfast that stays open until 10:30am for those of us who like to sleep in.
What's there not to like?
Situated on Ocean Avenue, the main street in Carmel, this lovely hotel is in the perfect location for walking, window shopping, and enjoying the fine restaurants of Carmel. The rooms are nicely decorated and supplied with all the conveniences you could need. Outside there is a great patio perfect for afternoon cocktails and a game of dominoes. I highly recommend Comfort Inn, Carmel-by-the-Sea. read more
