Dana Point Harbor Inn

Excellent location.

We left one day early, advising the front desk. Am looking for a refund on my credit card.

Great location, across the street from Doheney State Park. The motel is older and the room I was in could have used a fresh coat of paint and new curtains. But the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The bathroom actually had heated tile floors, when was the last time you've had that luxury. Ask to stay upstairs though, the floors squeak.

This hotel exceeded our expectations especially after reading a few not so great reviews. The location could not have been better we were on the harbor, next to pacific coast highway and in short walking distance to tons of restaurants and activities. Aside from that, our room was clean and exactly as described on the site. We were hesitant at first based on the low rates, but extremely pleased with everything about this hotel. read more

This hotel serves a purpose if all you want is a bed to sleep in for a night. It was quiet. But in appearance there was a washer and dryer outside next to the pool, there is no elevator, the lobby is very shabby in appearance. The bathroom was in need of paint and the towels were lacking to say the least. This hotel was more like a motel than a hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. read more

Overall, a great experience and great local by the marine for little dollars, nice people at the office and real close to the freeway you cannot hear. For family’s grocery right down the street and a fridge in form I see every room, very quite and a nice little pool. Very friendly staff.

The Dana Point Inn is an older hotel in the style of providing a clean room with little ammenities but very close and convenient to the harbor and beach attractions. The hotel met our expectations. We were provided a pleasant experience that included continental breakfast in the morning.
