The shopping centers and restaurants were with in walking distance.
I needed to make a late check out late because I ran the San Jose half Marathon and I was late. My wife asked for late check out and she was denied.
I would not recommend this hotel because they are not flexible. I visited San Jose to Run the Half marathon. I was late to check out on time. My wife and my son were in the hotel. My wife asked the hotel clerk if we could have a late check out. The answer was no, and my wife and son had to wait for me out side in the cold with all the luggage. I thought that, that was just not nice. read more

It is convenient. Good for shopping.
Smell is not good. They didn't replenish breakfast, it's gone around 9:30am.

Nothing! It was awful!
Filthy, dirty, bad area, super rude, filthy, dirty, and nasty.
Horrible! I would gladly pay the extra money for a better room. It was awful. The employees were rude, the room was filthy dirty, smelled, sheets were not clean, bathroom dirty, all around unsafe, condition, would not recommend at all!

Location.
I was told the room was ready, when I entered the room staff was on the bed eating, I was told to come back later.
It was convenient for my purpose at the time. The sink was clogged and the refrigerator does not work, I called the office but no one answered after several times I gave up. I would not stay there again.

It was close to good restaurants and the freeway.
It had ants and the paint was coming off in the shower.
I liked the hotel location. The only problem was there were ants sharing the room with us and the showers paint was coming off. Unsightly. They might have been remodeling and if so, that was the problem. Hopefully it will get fixed.

Staff -inadvertently booked smoking rooms & switched us to non-smoking.
Very busy streets/heavily traveled while we were there.
The hotel was quite clean for the level of hotel it was. Dining and shopping were very close.

Right off Highway 101, close by downtown, restaurants.
No problems.
Friendly staff was able to accommodate from smoking to non-smoking room.
