Embassy Suites Hotel Lompoc-Central Coast

We've stayed at this hotel before and had a great time. This would have been fine too, but while they don't allow pets, one must have snuck in and it caused me to have an allergic reaction. I had to sleep in the car because I couldn't breathe.

Hotel was clean, beautiful but definitely not romantic get away.

Having to go through the back gate area always stacked with trash bags and carts with dirty dishes. Did not smell good. The coutyard was nice.

Generally a pleasurable experience. I'd stay in this hotel again.

The room was well-appointed and not cramped. Mini refrigerator had freezer compartment and was a good size. Main bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows for even sofa bed. Room coffee was tasty and hotel breakfast area was generously supplied. Fresh breakfast fruit did need better maintenance to remove berries with bad spots. At first, we thought the breakfast table area was too small but then realized that an additional room opens off the back and had very few diners; so look for it if you think the area is too crowded. Facilities were clean and odorless but the bathroom (as with many hotels) showed some age with gaps in caulk. The room has two phones, but the one in the bed room had no pen and pad by it- not much of an issue since most people use their own cell phones anyway and just move to the sitting room where paper and pad are readily available. We only stayed briefly, otherwise we would have asked why the water faucets in the bathroom area did not seem to work properly. Still, good enough for a bath or shower after you "fiddled" with them a little. The lobby is smaller than most hotels but we seldom use it to entertain or relax anyway.
