There were renovating but the standard told me nothing when

Nice room, recently remodeled.
Renovations and slowness of the elevator.
The hotel is currently under renovation and we knew that before we went. There were some obstructions by the front that you had to walk around and the elevator (only one was working) was super slow. It would have been nice to know the van only runs every 30 minutes.

People washing cars in parking garage.
The construction workers were questionable, and stared at us upon arrival. They were eyeing what we had, & one followed behind us on our way to our room and stopped when we opened our room. He just stood there and looked in, then kept walking. We felt uncomfortable, and prayed that he didn't have a master room key. I really had to wonder if our stuff would be there when we returned. read more

Very close to the airport and
made an early flight convenient.
Felt very rundown.
Under any other circumstance I would have been extremely disappointed with this hotel. I have been to other locations of this chain and thought I had an idea of the chains standard. I was wrong. Fortunately, I was only at this location long enough to sleep a couple of hours and then catch an early flight.

The restaurant was convenient when we didn't want to leave the hotel. Decent food and service.
It looked like it wasn't in a safe area. We had to be alert of our surroundings.
I thought the hotel and price per night was decent. Our room was clean and the furniture was okay, but the hotel could use a little bit of updating. It was convenient for us that they had a restaurant.

Beds, staff, hotel.
This hotel was one of the worst I ever stayed in. the beds were too small and the carpet was dirty although the pool was clean. This Howard Johnson room looked more like a motel room. I was not very happy.
