Description of Americas Best Value Inn-Port Hueneme
A quaint 2 story Inn located in the seaside community of Port Hueneme. The city's name is derived from a Chumash Indian word Wene'mu meaning resting place, because it was located halfway between 2 larger Chumash Indian settlements which today are Malibu and Ventura. The Port of Hueneme is the top seaport in the United States for citrus export and ranks among the top ten ports in the country for automobile and banana imports. Its unique positioning near the Santa Barbara Channel has also made the Port of Hueneme the primary support facility for the offshore oil industry in California's Central Coast area. Port Hueneme Naval Base home of the Pacific See Bees is at our door and Point Mugu Naval Air Station is nearby. From here one can take a sport fishing trip or Charter a boat to the Channel Island National Park. . I wish there were more quality restaurants within walking distance.

Great hotel for the traveler looking to save money but stay in a place that is safe with a friendly staff.

It was close to my destination.
The sheets were stained, room small, TV small, and bathroom tile had mildew.

If one needed a place for one night to be close to the beach or Oxnard this would work. I would not recommend this spot for more than one night.

and no ice.

Wouldn't go there again. New place, but already looked runned down.
