Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Sutter House

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location, except for the safety issue of the neighborhood.
Thin walls, noise from jazz band in the area, neighborhood was scary after dark.

It was close to the capital. My husband has trouble with balance and walking is hard. We had no problem walking to a restaurant and to the capital.
We couldn't regulate the heat; it was quite nippy in the room. Pushing up the thermostat didn't work.

Great restaurants on property and great waffles at breakfast.
Bad area and depressing design. Scary elevators and noisy room day and night.

The room was really nice and comfortable. Very spacious.

The hotel met my expectations, but the hotel room was definitely nicer than expected. It was spacious, great bed, and nice furniture. It was also in a very convenient location. I would stay here, again.

Good location for downtown business, and old town Sacramento.
Ice and Vending machines at the far end of the floor, long way to get anything.

Conveniently located.
Remodeling - I had a weird handicapped room.

I had a horrible room, small beds, weird layout as it was designed for the handicapped. Hotel was undergoing remodeling in the lobby - so lots of drop cloths and paint smells. The front desk was able to print out my flight boarding pass - which was nice. But they were confused about the billing.

Well located for easy Downtown access walking distance to everything.
Rooms were very small, especially bathrooms.

Hotels in the Downtown area are very expensive, and this was about the only reasonable choice. The rooms are very small, especially the bathrooms, but the beds had nice linens and pillows and were very comfortable I slept great. There is a fair amount of street noise in the morning if you get an outside room, but it wasn't unbearable. I also really liked the free wireless internet access, the complementary breakfast, and HBO. All in all I was pleased with my stay here. ...read more
