Free breakfast.
It was 2 blocks from my house.
Nice room. No jacuzzi on premises which is my primary requisite for hotels. Pool was not heated.

Clean, newly refurbished, colorful and was
comfortable with internet.
Lobby stark, too much lighting made all the line too sharp.
While it is not easy to find or get to it has ample parking, mission style architecture, pool to close to the lobby, the lobby is too stark and way over lit. The colors of the interior are very good. The breakfast room very good for what it is.

Close to highway entrance.
Terrible views, especially from inside rooms.
Hotel has been updated, but the rooms had a musty smell and the views were not very good. The pool is adjacent to the lobby, very small with only 6 lounge chairs.

Had a bed, refrigerator and a microwave and a workspace.
Power went out, hotel under construction.
I'd rather not, I try not to be negative.

Location & price.
Much nicer than expected because renovations are nearly complete. Very good value; would stay here again. Nearby San Clemente Pizza is also very good!

The lobby was nice and so was the check in lady.
I found the lobby of the hotel to be the only decent feature. Also, the room smelled moldy and was right along side a highway, which you could hear road noise from all night long. This would not be a good hotel for a handicap person either, as there is a considerable walk from the only parking lot to the location of the rooms.

Quiet.
Very remote location - no business center.
Out of the way location - cutting through shopping centers, turning right, left, up the hill. Poor signing. But it met my need.

Clean, convenient, close to shops and some stores, solid hotel and quiet.
Too few electrical outlets. Had trouble plugging in computer, shaver, camera for recharging.
Solid hotel. Marble like floors, tall ceilings. Stayed on ground floor, close to parking. Good continental breakfast. Comfortable beds.

The front exterior is attractive so is the reception area.
Housekeeping needs to clean the room more thoroughly. Continental breakfast needs some fruit.
This hotel did not exceed my expectations. It suited my purposes well; I was not on vacation and was not expecting any luxuries. I just needed a place to sleep. The bathroom has been nicely upgraded. I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. I did tip housekeeping after my first night, that usually insures good service for the duration of my stay. It didn't work here. The room was not vacuumed, coffee, cups and glasses were not replaced. Breakfast pastries were great, but it would have been better with some fresh fruit. read more

Internet computer in lobby.
Clerk was going to run me off after I checked in.
I had to walk up a steep hill to get to the motel. I am concerned about the safety of the hotel if a major earthquake hits; there was a crack in the balcony wall that was probably caused by an earthquake. One clerk would not provide me with instructions on how to use the lobby fax machine, but instead took possession of my document and faxed it from another machine out of my sight. read more
