The Holiday Inn San Clemente Downtown Resort overlooks the blue Pacific Ocean in the center of the lovely beach community of San Clemente, 5 minutes from world famous Trestles surfing beach. Charged extra money to change room, which was still not up to par.

For the price we paid, we should have had a room that provided a quiet nights rest.

I didn't like this hotel at all.
The toilet in the room was stopped up and we couldn't get any one to fix it.

The room was dirty with cereal from the last people who stayed there. The toilet was stopped up and we couldn't get anyone to fix it we had to get a plunger ourself. The Jacuzzi was cold and dirty.

Paring. Very tight spaces and I only drive a small car.

Location great in heart of San Clemente. Staff was great and rooms about what I expected for a mid star hotel.

The room we had was against the freeway.

When I asked if we could upgrade to a room with a balcony and a view we were told that it was overcast and we wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.

Right on the freeway. Needs updating.

Not a 3 star hotel. Over valued for what it was. If it would have been a 1 star I would have been very pleased.

The hotel was ok. The staff was friendly and cooperative.
It was just ok.

The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. The staff was helpful. When we got to our room, it was one bed with a sofa sleeper and a bathtub in the room. We were in a hurry and needed to get ready to go to a wedding. We had to run down to the desk and change rooms. They had none left but were kind enough to offer a manager room that was adequate. We were almost late for the wedding due to the room error and traffic. read more
