Location was terrible, rooms were dirty, and walls were thin.

Hotel had much to be desired. The walls were very thin (you could hear conversations on both sides). The bathrooms were dirty and needed to be remodeled. It was definitely not worthy of a 3 1/2 star.

The Carlton is a quaint older hotel near downtown San Francisco. It is clean and well staffed.
