Location, service and price.
We were required to go down to the lobby to let our guests in after 8 PM.

It is conveniently located and right next to the BART station.
The room could use some remodeling.

Beds are soft.
Super tiny rooms with old furnitures, and a bad parking services.
They charge $28 for parking and call it valet but you have to drive and pick up your car yourself! No door man services at the front door! Super old hotel with tiny spaces and no bath tub in our bathroom. No coffee maker in the room unless you ask for it. Not worth the money and location is bad for people who drive cars.

Bad part of town, homeless everywhere begging for money. Hotel was not friendly and old and dirty. Would not stay again.

Olga at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable offer info about the hotels history as we check-in.
Room was dated and average, and was very basic.
For the price I would check out other nearby hotels and compare amenities, location etc. The public areas of the hotel were beautiful and well cared for. The room was a bit of a let down.

Access to public transport, BART and MUNI in front of hotel
Lack of interpersonal skills of front desk staff; unprepared for crowds in lobby; and the room readiness.
Average high-rise hotel worthy of 2-stars.

Clean linens and towels, great king size bed with real down comforter.
Always fully booked at weekends.
A great deal for quality and comfort. A nice room with clean, fresh linens and towels really made for a pleasant experience. King size bed and real down comforter perfect after a day of sightseeing! Ideally located for public transport to downtown and wharf areas of San Francisco.
