A "luxury business hotel" "right in Downtown San Jose", this "highly recommended" "pleasant surprise" "for the older crowd" boasts a "wondrous lobby", "modern" and "spacious rooms and suites" and a staff that provides "little extras that help busy travelers" (i.e. "a machine that prints boarding passes"); but while there's "an abundance of restaurants" and "no better place to people-watch than in the piano lounge", finicky foes find "facilities could use an upgrade."

I loved the lobby and the Christmas decorations.
The counters in our room were not wiped down.

The hotel was amazing. We had a great time and all staff was friendly. Can't wait to go again.

Staff slacked off.

The experience was overall okay. The room was clean and nice but the restaurant (The Grill) forgot our salads. The room service forgot half my order, and the parking garage staff was moody. I will give the hotel 1 more shot before I make a up my mind as to weather I will stay there every time I'm in San Jose.

Overall beauty, friendly staff and
great location.
The hallways near rooms and room elevators needed to be checked more frequently for litter/food.

This hotel is beautiful without a stuffy feel to the staff. Everyone is friendly. Restaurant (The Pagoda) is wonderful if you enjoy fresh Asian food. The fountain restaurant is beautiful as well and serves classic breakfast food wonderfully. I would absolutely stay again.

The level of customer service.
We were not in the main building and a room key was needed for elevator.

This hotel is one of San Jose's finest. It was my third stay at this location and every time I am happy with the hotel and it's staff. Staff is friendly and willing to help no matter what the problem. I will stay at this location in the future as the rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate all of our needs.
Parking was expensive.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I loved that the staff was so pleasant and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
