Close to cruise terminal, shuttle available.
The room looked clean, but my white socks got dirty walking on the rug in the room.
This is an older hotel in Victorian decor. It was modernized and is bright and very attractive inside. The room was large and there was an adequate bathroom and two queen sized beds. It had lovely wallpaper and old Victorian furniture. I had a room facing the back, away from the street, and it was quiet for sleeping. I was distressed in that my white socks became very dirty walking on the carpet. The hotel provided parking for my car at $12.00 per night when I went on my cruise, and charged $5.00 per person for the shuttle to the pier. read more

Located close to pier and cruising port.
Ants, poor service. Pricey.
I have stayed at this same hotel 3 years ago and apparently they are under new management. Staff were not there to assist or accommodate any guests. My impression from the moment that I walked into the lobby was "fend for yourself". We even had to scavenge towels from the non working gym room since the maid would not allow us more than 3 bath towels (no pool towels at all).

It was at least clean.
Poor service.
I spend on average 5,000 plus per year on hotel accommodations - I would not ever spend another dime in this establishment.

IT was conveniently located and acessible from the freeway on the main thoroughfare of San Pedro. My room did not abut the street but I would be concerned about the noise level. Breakfast was resonable and well prepared in pleasant surroundings. The start time of 7 did not fit my plans.

Convenient to Harbor Freeway.
Waitress was the worst I have ever experienced!
This hotel was fine. It was very close to the end of the 210 freeway, which made it convenient to all LA area attractions, and there was a great donut/espresso shop right across the street. However, do not go into the hotel restaurant! The waitress was so bad we thought we must be on a hidden camera show. She only had 3 tables but was completely overwhelmed. When I asked for a glass of chardonnay she said, "I don't know how to make that and the bartender only works on Saturdays. "When I asked for horseradish, she said she didn't know what that was. When I told her it was a condiment for the prime rib she brought me steak sauce saying, "This is all we have." read more

A star find, attractive furniture, spacious, very comfortable bed, a restaurant for dinner and breakfast and shuttle to cruise centre brilliant for us.
The hotel was fine but would not be in a good location for a long holiday.
Traveling from the UK it was so lovely to find a gem of a hotel, so close to the cruise centre. It had been thoughtfully renovated to give the old-fashioned look, carefully chosen furniture, it was very spacious and so comfortable. Meals were good and the whole place suited our needs and staff were very helpful. Thank you.

It was very close to the cruise ship pier.
Drapes did not close for room privacy.
While fine for an overnight stay I would not want to spend several days there. The neighborhood was not good and the food was not good.
