Description of Americas Best Value Inn
Americas Best Value Inn Tahoe City/Lake Tahoe is adjacent to Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe City Golf Course, and the Historic Tahoe Inn. It is the only air conditioned hotel in Tahoe City and has been AAA and Mobil Guide approved for over 30 years. Our hotel is directly across from the Commons Beach which has a children*s playground, amphitheater, and picnic/barbecue facilities. The FEMA approved hotel is activity-centered and offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and year round Lakeview hot tub. We are within walking distance to the marina, boating, fishing, golfing, and rafting. Our hotel is only 15 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and the Homewood Ski Area. Ski shuttles are available to all three ski areas. All of our 46 tastefully decorated guest rooms feature free wireless high-speed Internet access, cable TV, free local calls, and in-room coffee/tea. It had all the basics and the staff was friendly.
The walls were not very sound-proof, and noise from the neighbors room was audible.

This hotel had very friendly and reasonable staff. The room was very small. The continental breakfast was not freshly baked, but included pre-packaged pastries.

The hotel has a perfect location near most North Lake Tahoe attractions.

After reading a number of negative reviews, I asked for an updated room when we checked in. The person at the front desk gave us an updated room. The room was clean, nicely decorated and large enough for two adults and a toddler. The fact that the room had a mini fridge and a microwave was a plus for storing and warming food for my two year old daughter.

Sad there was no tub.

Small room with comfortable bed. Free WIFI a plus. A little farther from the part of Tahoe we were attending a wedding in, even though it was in the same "zone".

Its location was excellent and it was also very quiet.
It was very small.

The hotel had as previously stated a very good location at Tahoe City. We couldn't say much about the service at the hotel, for we were almost never there, we were only at the hotel at night and in the early morning. What we did experience however was great, especially the view of the golf course we had.

Great location for Lake Tahoe, the room was a bit small but ok, breakfast was too light and you had to take it to your room since there was no public dining area, the staff was exceedingly friendly.

Great location, right on the Lake.
Breakfast was a little light.

This was a great place to stay, the location was ideal for Lake Tahoe, the staff was exceptionally friendly, the room was a little small, but ok.

Great beach right cross street from hotel and nice play ground for kids, nice walk trail and bike trial every thing so close do a lot thing.

Room was small, bathroom was very small.

We just wanted a place to sleep and this room worked out well. The room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and we got a good night's sleep. The price is very reasonable. Would stop there again.
