Beautiful lobby and close to 16th Street Mall.
Rooms were tiny, wrong size bed, view of wall & electric boxes, two 12 inches away.
The hotel was beautiful in the lobby, the rooms were cute but the room size was very tiny and cramped, the air conditioning never cooled the room and we had to pay $26.00 for parking - wrong size bed, view was a brick wall. Did I mention we barely could walk around the bed, just cramped! Did not want to spend any time in room, bed was uncomfortable and hotel was very loud, we got no sleep even with earplugs. I would not stay here again and felt it did not live up to a four star hotel. We were disappointed for our getaway weekend. read more

Lots of color and pet friendly.
The windows didn't open. Felt stuffy and claustrophobic.
Our suite wasn't ready when we arrived. We were thankful that we were hungry so that we could kill the hour or so before our room was ready. The windows in our room didn't open creating a stuffy, closed in feeling. There was no balcony of any kind in our suite or anywhere for that matter. I won't stay there again.

Clean, friendly and ideal location.
Teeny tiny itsy bitsy room.
The hotel lived up to it's Kimpton reputation as cute, clean, different but when checking in we were asked to sign a paper that said we wouldn't try to stay longer because of a big convention coming in. It was like a, hello. Welcome. Please get out, when you said you would. The teeny tiny room had a terrible view but we weren't in it that much.

Spacious room; super clean; very helpful staff.
Located in the heart of downtown Denver and just steps away from the 16th Street Mall and fantastic restaurants and night life, the Hotel Monaco was a perfect choice for my business trip. I had the option to dine on excellent Northern Italian cuisine in my room or venture out on the town. 5 minutes from my client and a peaceful, comfortable room that was clean and spacious. Will definitely stay here again. read more

Location and goldfish.
Took 3 days to get my pet goldfish.
Very comfortable hotel; great location; liked that they had dogs in the lobby and goldfish on request for the guests; good restaurant, but they don't know how to roast garlic.

I was obligated to tip everyone, the room smelled like smoke.
Had to drive around the building 3 times to find a place to park. Bathroom was not up to standards& the room was cramped.

The whimsical feel.
The rooms were smaller than I expected and the bathrooms was not a four star bathroom.
Great hotel with attractive and different decorating. The rooms were attractive but smaller, and the bathrooms were almost the same as any Holiday Inn you would stay at.

Nice decoration and good ventilation.
No humidifier in room, skin cracks despite heavy lotion applied
Please wear slippers in room as contraction of Tania (athlete foot) is very easy probably due to the "pet friendly" condition of the hotel.

The room and lobby decor were very attractive.
Few amenities, unfriendly staff.
I am surprised this is a 4-star hotel. It provides few amenities and the staff was rude. When we checked in, the desk attendant rushed through; she didn't tell us our room number or how to get to the elevators. When I asked about a restaurant menu, she said she didn't have one-maybe there's one in our room. There wasn't one in our room. The complimentary soap was cheap and harsh and the for sale items were ridiculously over-priced. I've paid less for an in-room soda at The Broad moor! The room was very hot and stuffy, and there were only a few available television channels. Finally, our room was over the alley and at 5:00 in the morning we were awakened by delivery trucks. The cleaning staff should be complimented, however, our room was spotless. read more
