Rates include continental breakfast June 12,2009 through September 13,2009. Enjoy your stay in our log furnished lodge with great views of the surrounding mountains and Shadow Mountain Lake. This property is open all year round and is a non-smoking establishment. Summers, kick back, enjoy your favorite beverage and food on our large open deck, featuring gas firepit tables and chairs. Listen to local entertainment and enjoy the BBQ on our deck most summer nights. Gather in our lounge, play shuffleboard, cards, watch sports on the big screen TV, and connect to wireless high speed Internet, OR just relax. We have a newly remodeled conference room and attached enclosed patio for weddings, reunions and meetings. We will be happy to assist you in planning your event, including full service catering with an extensive choice of menu options, and audiovisual equipment is available. We are open year around and have an on sight fitness room, sauna, hot tub, putting green and message therapy is available by appointment. The hotel sits at the entrance to the historic Grand Lake Village, 1/2 mile from Rocky Mountain National Park, and 3 miles from Grand Lake's popular 18-hole golf course. Grand Lake golf course offers groomed cross-country ski or snowshoe trails during the winter. Grand Lake is the "Snowmobile Capital of Colorado" with over 300 miles of groomed trails. We do have parking available for those with trailers. There are lots of summer activities, hiking, boating, biking, golf, wildlife viewing, kayaking, horseback riding, and the boardwalk of Grand Lake is noted for fun convenient shopping. Your booking is guaranteed since we charge the first night. We charge 30.00 USD for any cancellations with 15 day or more notice. 14 days or less you forfeit first night, 7 days or less we charge the entire stay. Check policy for group bookings. read more

The continental breakfast was poor.

The accommodations were good but not so much for the price. It was close to the attractions we were interested in and it was casual. It was clean and friendly.

Hotel was beautiful, great view, and very friendly staff.
I could not get the fireplace to work. The staff was willing to come in and give it a look but I thought it should have already been ready to go.

Great hotel! Friendly staff, entertainment on site, beautiful furniture. Overall, excellent.
Not much offered in terms of full meals, but plenty of bar food offered.

We had a great experience at the Gateway. Lovely hotel, nice interior decoration, plenty of entertainment on site. Would definitely stay there again, especially for the price.

Nice location overlooking lake and mountains.
No food.

Nice place to stay. We visited in the off season so the town was not crowded, good time to visit. Near good fishing areas.

It was clean, and the king size room was very spacious with a cabin feel.
Far enough from town that we felt we needed to drive.

The hotel was new and very clean. It had new lodge feel with heated seating areas on the balcony over looking the mountains. We would certainly use the hotel again.

Hotel was very nice. Newer place but very few amenities.
No continental breakfast or breakfast at all. Met the very basic needs.

Hotel was very clean and appropiate for location.
