Holiday Inn Express Vernon

Very nice comfortable hotel at the edge of a suburban business district within a few minutes of I-84. Better than I expected.

Great for a quick trip.

Overall, the hotel meet my expectacions. After walking through the warned, old looking hallways, the room exceeded my expectations.

Good price, better breakfast than usual, helpful staff, coffee and juice available 24 hours a day! Also the quality of the sheets was unusually good. When I arrived at 11:00 at night, the man at the front desk was very helpful.

Good hotel to stay at if its just a stop along the way.

Met our needs nicely except for the lack of extra blankets.

Breakfast in the hotel was good. I stayed five nights. The morning after the first night, housekeeping forgot to service the coffee maker in the room, and she was waiting for me at the door as I was leaving for the day to ask if I wanted the room serviced because she saw that I had put the "don't change linens" flyer on the door handle. I said "yes, I want the bed made but you don't have to change the sheets and vacuum." She changed the towels so no clue about the coffee maker. Would have liked to have had a regular computer or a laptop with a mouse in the "business center". Don't like IBM think pad as the little built-in mouse is difficult to work with. I had dinner the second night next door and received terrible, rushed service. The area has gone way down and seems provincial in a sad way. read more

We were disappointed. Because we find that there was no hot water - nor would hot water be available until the following afternoon - a fact that was known but not disclosed to us as we checked in. This was overshadowed, however, by the Wild Turkey and Bud Light chugging crowd that had convened in the lobby - a group which later moved to the parking lot until approximately 2:30 AM. I got pretty standard accommodations. 2 double beds and a bathroom. It was very clean and convenient and the hotel folks were nice.

I think the service at the hotel was good and I enjoyed. I guess my major problem was because was the construction which currently going on when I visited. I would to suggest for a microwave in each room or a least a common area microwave on each floor. Overall I enjoyed it and would visit there again.
