Was relatively close to the airport.
Construction that went on for hours - noise, old, dirty.

Really a dump. Perfect for crazy poor people. Chaotic front desk – understaffed, but polite. Annoying construction on floor below pounding that went on for over 3 hours sounded like room was being gutted.

They are in transition so hopefully the upgrades will be nice. resort staff was friendly.

Absolutely no place to eat within walking distance.

This hotel was clean and comfortable, but the location was not good for sightseeing in Fort Lauderdale without renting a car. There was no place to eat within walking distance, and the continental breakfast was marginal. The breakfast room was so overcrowded that people had to sit on the front stoop or take the food back to their room. We were not near the beach or any other sightseeing attractions. We were able to take the bus to the beach and River walk, for a $3/day pass. read more

Overall my stay was wonderful.
My only complaint was that the maid did not make the bed when she cleaned the room.

My overall stay in the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I checked in as well as checking out. The front desk Clark upon checking out seemed very concerned about my stay and asked me how I felt about it and if there was anything they could do to make it better in the future.

Dirty, amenities not available or not working.

In my 40 plus years of world wide travel, this is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I felt unsafe and things you take for granted, like a working sink, were not to be had. A neighbor stayed up all night so he could keep an eye on his car. Great environment...no?

Close to air and sea ports.
Can hear everything outside in your room.

It was ok for a one night stay and it was cheap so it was what we expected but it is dirty and you can hear constant sirens outside and people walking by. It’s ok if you are there for less then 24 hours.

The modern style bowed shower curtain was a nice touch.
Arrived by Taxi 1 AM - No functioning ice machine and no vending machines.

Convenience store or fast food franchises it would have been to be able to get a cold drink somewhere. With no functioning ice machine on premise and no vending machine available I was not happy.
