Jameson Inn Jacksonville

The Jameson Inn is a very clean and comfortable. I actually enjoyed the time spent in the room, a great deal. The pillows were the fluffiest of any place I've ever stayed - which is a big deal to me because I can't stand the standard flat ones that most hotels have.

The Jameson Inn was great! The rooms were large, very clean and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in! The location was convenient for us, we wanted to be near family in the South side as well as Orange Park and this was right in the middle. Close to the interstate but very quiet, no traffic noises. My only complaint was that they were stingy with the shampoo and coffee for the in-room coffee maker. I had to go to the front desk on two occasions. They were very friendly but I shouldn't have had to ask! Free Wi-Fi in the rooms is nice. The breakfast was good but with a 5 day stay, a little variety would have been nice. I traveled alone & felt safe. Breakfast food & beverage was a (bad) joke: desk clerk had to parcel out portions of milk from the last single gallon container on the premises, hot water dispenser gave lukewarm water, juice dispenser didn't work properly, had to tear apart waffle with spoon & fork as they were out of knives. I would not recommend this hotel.

When I checked into the hotel, they told me the room was not paid for. It took me about an hour of legwork on the phone and talking with hotel to get it straightened out.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. We were approximately 15 minutes from our venue downtown and the drive was pleasant. There are a couple of hotels closeby, but the area is mainly office buildings, which made it feel more safe.
