Beautiful while staying comfy and clean.
Price of morning food was an outrageous $17 a person with a sub-par buffet.

Doubletree Grand Key resort was rather expensive for not getting free breakfast the next morning, while the food was an outrageous $17 a person for a sub-par morning buffet. The TV provided flinched a lot more than tolerable, while the hotel itself was beautiful and clean.

They did not let me know I had to pay for parking until I was checking out.

The staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the drivers.
Too far from Old Town and too crowded trying to take the shuttle. Each time had to wait for a second shuttle.

The pool area was great, the staff was wonderful. My main complaint is it's just too darn far from Old Town. We, as a family, have stayed not far off Duval for four previous visits, but wanted to scale back this year on expense. The hotel met our needs, but we didn't feel we got a good Key West feeling by being there. We could have been anywhere.

Not quite near the the adventure of key west, but this is not always a bad thing.

The aquarium in the entry area was awesome & the room was well furnished.
The balcony was very small and it it was noisy.

On arrival, the staff seemed to be looking for tips. On leaving, early in the morning, they were no where to be found.

Great staff at every level from front desk to pool side bar.
I did not like the hours of the shuttle service.

Overall, the hotel was better than expected. The staff was full of information which I needed. I would suggest this hotel to anyone headed to Key West.
