Management, wasn't clean enough.
The hotel has a great location but that is where it ends.

Cleaning staff offered us extra towels in the afternoon which was very nice.
Front desk people were very very poor, almost seem to be hiding behind the desk and offered no help.
Location was good, very old hotel but clean. Front desk people were worthless, seemed like you were interrupting something every time you approached them.

Excellent location in heart of South Beach.
Terrible smell of moisture, rooms, bathrooms and hallways need urgent renovation.
Although location is excellent, I won't recommend this hotel. The smell of moisture which indicates fungus is terrible and bathrooms definitely needs renovation. Staff is not bad, but also not more as moderate. Breakfast is poor, so go out to Collins Av or Lincoln Rd. Find a hotel between 1st and 20th street.

Location was one block from art deco ocean drive.
Room service was not good.
I would not stay at this hotel again even though the location was near the all the action and ocean drive. The staff in the early morning and the third shift was very nice, but the evening staff was not helpful. I could not even get ice from the hotel and it has a restaurant on premise.

The lobby was nice.
Customer service they didn't care.
This was the worst experience with this hotel and the worst customer service and rudeness that I have ever experience. There were no towels. We couldn't ever sit on the hotel terrace because that was their policy. The front desk was rude to us and had I don't care attitude regarding this matter. I will be faxing a complaint regarding this matter, you all should choose a better selection of hotels to advertise or market. read more

It had running water.
Pretty much everything was substandard.
The beds were hard as wood and had springs poking you. The pillows were stiff and uncomfortable. The service was surly and rude. They couldn't provide a second key until the next day. They couldn't provide a clean iron (the iron in the room had a foul brown film on it that would have got on our clothes had we not tested it on a towel first). The towels were small and they only gave us two for two people. Overall, this was a pretty horrible hotel. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

The beachcomber was very close to the beach and restaurants it was very clean and nice.
They did not allow you to check in before check in time.
The beachcomber was a pleasant hotel located in the heart of south beach. It was about a block away for the beach and the restaurants and a shot walk to anything else that you may need. The rooms and hotel were decorated very nicely and the hotel was very clean.

Nothing, RUDE STAFF WILL NEVER RETURN.
Nothing, RUDE STAFF WILL NEVER RETURN. Hotel smells like heating Olive Oil and the bearded owner and Latino desk clerk are extremely rude. No acknowledgment when approaching the desk, i.e.: hello, good morning, thank you. No wonder they have no one staying in that place. The staff is dull and acts as if they are doing you a favor.
