I loved the staff ,the views, and most of all the bar and grill and the tiny bar by the pool.
The tiki bar should stay open longer.

We liked the location right on the beach and boardwalk.
The beds were awful, the pool tile was scummy, the carpet was stained, the towels were like sandpaper, smelled funny.

This hotel has a nice lobby, but the rooms are old and are in desperate need of updating. We stayed 4 nights and my back was in so much pain after sleeping on what they called beds. The mattresses were thin and broken down they sagged in the middle. I sat on the edge of one bed to put on shoes and the whole bed flipped up on me. The staff was as helpful and friendly as they could be it's not their fault the hotel management won't upgrade anything. The carpet in our room was stained with who knows what. The floorboards underneath were warped and creaky. Didn't feel very safe. Anyone on the boardwalk could reach over the gate and let themselves in, saw that numerous times. The bar in the basement was open until 5am every morning and had all sorts of people in and out. Some guy slept on a pool chair every night right outside our room and then saw him "working" at the tiki bar every morning. read more

Next to beach than I did not have time to see.
Beyond nice foyer, little maintanence, room smelled and very dated.

One elevator broken, the other in terrible condition with scratched initials all over the steel doors, loud ice maker across the hall kept me up the 3 nights. The hotel did not feel safe.

Ocean front view from room.
Rooms need to be renovated like the lobby.

The rooms need to be renovated. The lobby is nice but the elevators are a little scary. Our room had a gorgeous ocean front view but the room and bath was older and they need to redo them.

Unfriendly staff and
bad room.

We had to visit the lobby 4 times to reprogram the card as the door lock was not working. The staff still wanted us to be at the lobby the 5th time to pick the card when we got a new room (eventually!) Rooms were small and not sound proof. Neighbors were knocking each time we spoke. In short - Avoid Days Inn.

The lobby architecture was nice.
The elevators had not been inspected in the past year, they were scary.

This hotel definitely does not deserve better than a 1 star rating. Its old, the bathroom was awkwardly laid out. The elevators sounded like they were going to break at any minute. The inspection tag in the elevator expired 9/2007. The mattresses in the room were very thin and not very comfortable. On the good side, the location was great. I love that it had beach access right besides the building. The parking situation was horrible.
