Built in 1888 and fully restored in 2000 with a 25 million dollar restoration. Once owned by Henry Flager and built to resemble a mid-evil castle. Location was good.
Our room was cramped and awkward. You could not pass to the bathroom if the armoire door was open. The only mirror for makeup was at waist level.

Not a 4 star hotel. Not a luxury accommodation. You will find torn carpeting in the restaurant, cramped rooms, and curly hairs from a previous guest in your bed blanket. The location is good as you can get to a lot of destinations without a car, but you are also paying for the parking. I would not stay there again.

Truly excellent historical renovation with modern convenience.
Hotel staff was casual, somewhat indifferent.

This hotel is a remarkable renovation of the original--historic artifacts, beautiful architectural details. The room was small but comfortable, using period-style furniture with a modern oversize bath and vanity area. The overall atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable.

Very clean, classic style, nice bed and bedroom, excellent location
They charge an unjust hidden fee for a 7 miles away beach club access, the valet parking is extremely expensive

Nice hotel, but everything is very expensive!
