it was close to the hospital which i had a dr's appt at
the beds are way too small, the clerk acted like she didn't want to work
it was the worst i've ever stayed in. when we arrived the clerk gave us a dirty look cuz she was busy watching tv on the couch. when i went back to the office to ask for extra pillows she said they didn't have any!! what kind of motel doesn't have extra pillows?? good thing i didn't ask for extra towels. we will never stay there again. next time i will pay the extra money to stay at the best western right up the street.. read more

It was a bargain for the price.
Nothing really.
I've traveled all over the world and therefore I'm used to bugs in the bathroom so this came as no big deal at this hotel. I've stayed in hostels before and have had to deal with much worse. The room was clean though it had a musty, old, smoky smell to it at first. I would recommend it for a short stay but spend the extra money for a nicer hotel if you will be staying in Sarasota for more than a day or so.

The room was smoldering hot because the
AC was not turned on. Front desk said to give it an hour to cool the room.

The halls and exterior need updating and cleaning.

Location.
The room was not temperature controlled upon entry.
Great location, great staff however be wary that to conserve energy maybe, the rooms were not left with the air conditioning running at a tolerant temp. In fact it wasnt running at all!

The Cleanliness of the hotel.
The Hairdryer blow up and the replacement was not secured properly on the wall.
Overall I felt the hotel staff was very accommodating with a clean room and friendly staff. Also we felt safe in the hotel.

This motel was in disrepair both inside and out. The room was filthy, had cigarette burns on the bed sheets, the toilette cover was askew, and the room smelled foul. As a frequent and experienced traveler, I have never experienced such a deplorable establishment.

I liked the fact the hotel was near relatives.
We found a crack pipe in the bathroom Kleenex box.
This has been the worst hotel that I have stayed in to date. I will never stay at this Holiday Inn ever again. I will pay the extra $20 a night to stay at the Best Western less than .25 mile.
