If I had to do it again I'd stay somewhere else, The front desk staff was very awesome, then you get to your room, If All HJ's are like this I'll forget they used to have the best ice cream in the world and stay in my car.

It was convenient to I-4.
Construction right outside the room, poor pool.
During our stay, there was constant construction right outside our room, from the early morning to early evening. The debris from construction was all around the pool area, which made me feel like swimming would have been an unwise choice. On the upside, they did let me check in thirty minutes early when I arrived in Tampa after a long night/morning of driving - not that I could sleep, since there were saws being used twenty feet from my head. read more

The room was spacious, clean and not worn.
Out side parking lot and sidewalks were not very clean.
Hotel was right next to I-4, The neighborhood was not the best but we experienced no problems. Rooms were well maintained and very spacious.

Wasy access to highway.
Cleanliness.
This hotel did not offer anything special, but is great for the budget conscious. The lady at the front desk was wonderful, however housekeeping never came. The room was functional. The bathroom did was not up to par with the rest. It was dingy and dirty and a small cockroach was found upon arrival. I would suggest using a laundry mat if needed since there is one washer and one dryer which is located outside. The location provides easy access to the highway although I would not suggest walking in the neighborhood at night. Overall I would probably stay here again if I were in Tampa. read more

The price.
No microwave.
First off the first room was sent to smelled, like it was smoked in. Hotel staff cant control that thus just went to the lobby and requested a different room. Within the room there was no microwave! There was a fridge. The confronter had crusty stains on it and the sheets had old stains as well. The light for the bathroom kept going on and off, the switch was sticking finally got it to stay on and couldn't turn off. read more

Clean, convenient location.
Highway noise.
Good hotel for the money. It is not a Hilton, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. Great budget hotel.

Decent price.
Limited TV channels, limited breakfast, and had to ask to get towels.
While I did not expect much from a one-star hotel, I thought this would be a little better than it was. They picked up the towels I used during the days I stayed here, but did not replace them. I had trouble getting the door key to work when returning to my room on three separate nights. And the complimentary breakfast was limited to bread, bagels, dough nuts, apple juice, milk/cereal and coffee. Spartan, to say the least. There was some sort of renovation going on the first day, so power saws could be heard. read more
