Baymont Inn & Suites Macon

If you want to stay in a dirty, poorly run motel, this is for you.

Clerk did not ask for a picture ID nor confirmation when I checked in.

I didn't like the fact that it was a motel. I prefer to stay in hotels. The place was dirty and the AC didn't even have knobs on the unit. I wanted to switch rooms but they didn't have any other rooms with 2 double beds.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Every aspect met my expectations. I would stay there again for my business travels.

Hotel is conveniently located near I-475. Room was hot and musky smelling when we arrived. The AC unit is loud and turns on and off intermittently without cooling the room by much. The bedskirt on 1 of the double beds had what appeared to be white substance dried on to it (noticed by my 14 yr old daughter). The tub was dingy, and the bathroom wall had two holes in it. This place was a dump. Room was dirty, hair, dust, dirt, visible mold/mildew in the bathroom. Our non smoking room reeked of old stale smoke. We actually slept on top of the beds and brought in our own blankets and pillows out of the van. We called around and could not find any other available rooms and we were exhausted from driving all day or we would have never stayed here. The television worked but made a loud whistling noise if you turned up the volume to be able to hear it so would be great if you could read lips. The pool was so small, the hot tub at the last hotel we stayed in was bigger, my husband could literally reach from one side of it to the other, we didnt even bother. The air conditioner worked but blew air that smelled like mildew in our room all night long. We got up at dawn and got out of there soon. We will never stay at another Baymont again ever! There was a great Mexican restaurant about a block away and a movie theatre across the street though. read more
