Howard Johnson Inn - Statesboro Ga

I had to clean my own bath tub,there were absolutely no towels in the room upon entering, there were holes in the wall with wires coming out for the TV, my husband had to move the entertainment center over them so my children couldn't get to them,the hair dryer didn't work,I had people calling me at 2,3,&4am, I called the front desk and they told me to unplug my phone. I only require a clean room and bed. Cigarette burns were on the furniture and in the bedding, the shower rod was falling off the wall, bugs were in the room, the tub took over 45 minutes to drain, Housekeeping left a huge bag of breakfast trash outside my room door.

For the price it was better than I expected.

Doing check in the clerk mistook me for housekeeping and kept me waiting for several minutes. The room smells of smoke although it was no smoking room. The bathroom tile floor was cracked and needed repair.

The hotel is in a convenient location near GA southern campus. Rooms are in major need of rehab in bathrooms. Some insulation in the walls needed for sound control.

I did not enjoy my stay at Howard Johnson in Statesboro. We have filed a complaint against the hotel. There was mildew in the hotel room. The hotel room had a smell. We had to ask for tissue and wash cloths. There was in opening at the bottom of the door was bugs could come in the room.

This is the worst I have ever stayed in. The bathroom counter tops had not been cleaned. I took a wet napkin and wiped that off myself. The toilet was stained with rust water and looked as if it had never been cleaned. Around the faucets in the bath tubs--was rusty and once again filthy The night stand had stains left from the last person there. The sheets had black specs as well as body hair. The carpet had not been vacuum We changed to another room and it was the same way or worst, so we went back to the first room. I would have left and gone elsewhere but it was late and there were no more rooms at other hotels in the town. I have called the manager twice, but he has not returned my calls. Wonder why? I will also write to Howard Johnson Inc. They need to be made aware of the lack of cleanliness in this hotel. read more

There was no free breakfast (cook called out, no backup cook) as advertised, towels were smelly and dirty, the did not have staff to deliver items to the room and had to go get them ourselves, room was dirty and half the things broken, staff was rude, noisy refrigerator we complained about twice and no one ever came to look at as promised, beds were uncomfortable.

I enjoyed but my wife was quite disappointed because of the breakfast. Also, they have the Jacuzzi but did not offer bubble baths. They could offer that as an option.
