Most of their rooms only accommodate 2 people.

We had to pay extra for a larger room to accommodate our family of 4, which I was not real happy about.

Convenient to beach and park, zoo.
Carpet in room was dated and needed to be replaced.

This is a great place and location, not a five star but paradise is out the window and out the door.

Hall ways were old looking.

We actually stayed in Queen Kapiolani because Castle Resort's hot water was not working in the tower that we were staying. Castle Resort sent us to Queen K when we checked in. It was their sister hotel and right around the corner.

It was close to the hotel we switched to.
No hot water.

We checked in and I didn't expect it to be nice since it was a bargain 2 star hotel. After living in Hawaii for 32 years I knew what to expect but having the hot water out in the hotel and then not being told anything at the checking (since the water was out before we checked in) was horrible.
