Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Royal Hawaiian
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.January 24, 2012

The Royal Hawaiian is a gem amongst a sea of high-rise monstrosities in Waikiki. Such a shame that every other hotel chain had to ruin the skyline. The staff cares for your every need, and everything at the surrounding 4 hotels in the "starwood" group can be charged to your room (dangerous
. The pools are way overcrowded with misbehaving children
but the beach is only a stone's throw away. I have really no complaints about the Royal Hawaiian. ...

Excellent hotel. You definitely get what you pay for and it met and exceeded all expectations. Everything is nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. If you have the money to spend it is definitely worth it, especially for a honeymoon trip like ours. After staying at a shady and cheap hotel for the first 5 days while we explored the island, it was nice to relax for the last 2 days at this fine hotel establishment. Plus you'll get major husband bonus points if you surprise your new wife with this Princess Palace! ...

The Royal Hawaiian hotel is the quintessential Hawaii experience. From the open greeting of the valet staff to the attentive nature of the bellman, there was no request that wasn't met with a friendly attitude. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Right on beach. The grounds are very pretty and maintained well. Private beach area for guests with lounge chairs and umbrellas.

The "Pink Palace" definitely lives up to its name. It is almost over the top with its vibrant pinkness but so beautiful and charming at the same time, it feels like going home. Very old world Hawaiian, the ocean air emanates through the grand entrance as you are greeted with that ever special Hawaiian Aloha and Orchid lei and the sparkle of the Pacific glimmers in the distance. The rooms are very sensibly decorated and comfortable with windows that open to a tropical array of palm trees, birds of paradise, lush, colorful flowers, pristinely manicured lawns and chirping birds. Fresh banana bread is made and delivered to your room daily, and there are even pink towels in the pink bathrooms. The lanai is very small though, you have to climb out the window to access it. They have an excellent Mai Tai Bar located steps to the sandy beaches, great bartenders who are attentive and friendly and make the best Mai Tai's I have ever had. Sit back watch the surf, enjoy the warm breezes and soft Hawaiian music around you. It is one of the only hotel that has a private beach area for guests only, tanning is made easy if you get up early enough to stake out your lounge chair. Get towels from the pool services, find your favorite spot and they will do the rest, umbrella's at your request, cocktail services; beach rolling surf and the most spectacular views of diamond head if you are up early enough to catch a morning sunrise. There are many things to do, dining at sunset, Hawaiian entertainment, shopping, or relaxing on one of the many secluded, comfortable lounge chairs around the hotel. You can not go wrong with this hotel. As for me, I will never stay anywhere else. ...
