Reasonable price and restaurant was okay.
Teenage children were able to buy drugs on hotel property.
Overall, you get what you pay for. This is definitely a budget hotel. The rooms were not clean and the air conditioning did not work. What concerns us the most is that our teenaged children were able to purchase drugs on the hotel property? This is not the type of place we will ever stay again.

Location and price.
The building was run down, and the rooms were old and need of repair. The furniture was nice, though, as were the towels. Just not enough.
The price was great, but the facilities were in need of up grades and remodel. Even though, the furniture was nice, the room and carpets were old and grungy.

The front desk we forgot her name, she is very friendly and made things very comfortable she provided our needs.
2stars didn't go with this hotel at all. ants were there. buffet area was not clean and filled with dust and bird poops. food was too cheap for $.
The view of this hotel at first was cool because loser to the entertainments. After we got into the room, we didn't like the way it advertised us - "You have been Upgrade to 2 STARS hotel!!" but it is like not star hotel. They didn't tell us upfront that we need to pay 5 dollars for a day for the parking space. We read the posted and we thought it is about guest as our friends not us as ourselves as guest. Overall it was just OK. We want our money back or half of the money back to us. read more

They had an elevator. That's unusual for a small motel.
No security in the parking lot.
Uncle Billy's in Kailua-Kona exceeded my expectations for a one-star hotel! The room was clean, very spacious and quiet. There were two sinks - one for the bathroom and one was a kitchen sink. The bathroom sink was separate from the shower and toilet (a plus!). Also, there were some shelves in the closet and along the wall for additional storage space. For the budget traveler, I highly recommend Uncle Billy's! read more

Nice facility for a good price.
Parking fee of $5 nightly, did not know about it upfront.
It is a good hotel in a good location for visitors to Kona.

Good location.
Ugly room, hotel needs renovation.
Restaurant was very poor; room needed renovation badly; staff was pleasant; great location.

Great in town location, local style.
The hotel is old with sketchy areas in back, and no A/C.
Uncle Billy's is a locally owned hotel with an open feel. It is located in the touristy area of Kona. They have a pool but I have not used it. The staff is friendly. The hotel is old with out a/c. The hotel is four story's with one elevator. My experience there was adequate.

Inexpensive; sheets were clean.
Maintenance, Social Atmosphere and Cleanliness much less than its "two star" rating.
This hotel is very run down, and only marginally clean. The maids appeared to do a good job cleaning--but many things that may not be considered their job were not done, i.e.: gum stuck to carpet, plastic table on balcony covered with what appeared to be old ice cream, smudges on walls. Maintenance was much in need, i.e.: broken light fixture, window glass replaced with plywood, cigarette burns in bedspread. Social atmosphere also bad, i.e.: surly folk at check-in, young thugs drinking beer and intimidating folks in the parking lot. This hotel is not a 2 star hotel. It barely qualifies as a one star hotel. It's only attribute is location (downtown Kona, convenient but noisy) and the fact that it is cheap. read more

Convenient location.
This hotel was very dirty and moles every where.
Dear travelers, if you like a moles in the ceiling, walls and tables this hotel is for you. If you want a nice, clean and pleasant sleep find something else.

All the rooms have a view of the ocean.
Spiders in bathroom, room refrigerator not work, no water pressure in shower.
Nice people, good location, but run down and slightly dilapidated. Parking is $5 a day and not included in room rate.
