Close by to home; good place for a romantic getaway.
Just seemed to be more a 3 or 3.5 star hotel than a 4 star.
This is a very nice hotel, but I wouldn't give it 4 stars. To me a 4 star hotel should have very nice amenities in every room. Our room was nice, but not overly special in any way. The bathroom was clean, but not spectacularly done. I had expected perhaps and open standing shower with a separate tub or jacuzzi tub. At least a very updated bathroom. This was clearly the same bathroom that was originally there when the hotel was constructed, with perhaps replaced shower/tubs. Again, it was nice and clean, just nothing that WOW! me. The bed was very comfortable and the room service was excellent. I highly recommend the Chocolate Xango (deep fried cheesecake burrito with chocolate sauce). read more

Beautiful setting and staff very friendly and helpful.
Long walk to room had to take elevator down to get to room.
Good location and excellent staff. Food was excellent and well presented. Room was clean and spacious - large bathroom and good shower. Our room was on the golf course with a great view.

Very clean, great setting with golf course, and very relaxing.
No ability to walk to local restaurants or other attractions, must take a cab.

Right off the highway, easy access to train station, family friend for both old and young.
Nothing it was all good.
Stay at the hotel was great. Plenty of things to do for all ages with friendly staff. Just minutes away from the train station for a trip into Chicago. Worth the money I spent and would stay there again should I get the chance.

The hallways were very very narrow. You had to walk outside across the parking lot to get to the pool.

It is old and needs some updating-A/C in room did not work.
Have stayed at the Westin Hotel in the same area, both are four star. The Eaglewood cannot compare to the Westin.

It has the feeling of being away from the everything - and you don't have to drive far.
This hotel is wonderful. It has a nice staff, a great comfortable feel to the atmosphere and I will definitely plan on coming back!
