We are the newest extended stay hotel in the Springfield, Illinois area. The Candlewood Suites is just minutes away from numerous Abraham Lincoln sites including the new Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln's Home, Lincoln's Tomb and New Salem State Park. Other points of interest a short drive away include the Illinois State Capitol, Abraham Lincoln Capitol City Airport, Illinois State Fairgrounds, the Dana-Thomas House and Knight's Action Park. We are also centrally located to several business and government offices, medical centers, restaurants and retail shops. Consider Us Home and experience our Comforts of Home Bedding Collection. Enjoy high-speed Internet and full kitchens in spacious guest rooms for longer visits. Candlewood Suites provides free laundry facilities, unlimited access to a state-of-the-art business center, an exercise room and the Candlewood Cupboard convenience store for meals and snacks. Pets are welcome with a $100 non-refundable fee. Current shot documentation is required. A pet policy must be signed at check-in. Room cleaning is provided once every 7 days. Maximum number of people allowed per room (including children) is 2 in a room with 1 bed and 4 in a room with 2 beds. The front desk is open 24-hours a day. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the choice of pillows.
There isn't anything I didn't like about the hotel, but it would have been nice if the hotel had an indoor swimming pool.

Excellent room layout. Choice of pillow firmness!
The room is small.

I was there for 8 days on business and it's a great place for extended stays. It has all the amenities to be comfortable and efficient. Stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, even things like a toaster and dishwasher, iron with ironing board and something very few places have, a DVD player with free movies at the desk. It made my extended stay a lot more comfortable.

Clean, friendly, comfortable.
New hotel still working out the bugs. Temp control panel (91 inside the room at arrival), smoke alarm (went off 3x's), no pool.

It was nice, quiet, friendly, comfortable and clean. It is a new hotel so they are still working out the bugs. The room temperature was 91 degrees at arrival but the staff fixed it quickly. The smoke alarm went off 3 times in one day at 5:55 a.m., midday and 11:55 at night luckily we were awake. I would give them another chance if they had a pool. There was no charge for a rollaway which was nice. Very nice sheets and towels best I've ever had in a hotel. read more
