The room was big & the bed was Comfy!
No fridge/freezer in room.

Overall we were very pleased with this hotel/room. The room was very spacious & the bed was awesome. The shower needed some up-dating & we had wished we had a fridge/freezer in the room, but we are still very satisfied with the room for the price we paid.

The room was spacious and clean and a free breakfast!
I would have liked the actual bath towels to have been larger.

I found everything right during my stay at the Days Inn Vandalia. I will be staying here again when I return to the area.

The room decor and cleanliness was good.
The outside definitely showed its age. Old.

Everyone was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was ok. The rooms were clean and pleasant but the outside looked like an old hotel.

There was nothing I liked about this hotel.
Poor appearance, bed was hard, room was small, heat hard to control.

The appearance was very poor, the rooms were very small, the bed was uncomfortable, the heat was hard to control, the shower curtain had mold on it, and the mirror was dirty. The only thing good about the breakfast was the coffee. My expectations were not very high, after all it is only a 2 star, and this did not even come close to meeting my expectations. It should have been a clue when I pulled up and the only vehicle in the parking lot was the one of the employee and a broken down pickup with construction equipment in the back. read more

Hotel has gratis wirless network connection.
Coffee maker was dirty when I attempted to use it.

Hotel is on IL Route 51 and Route 70. Has a local Walmart, several gas stations, grocery store and fast food restaurants to enjoy. Could be considered a "truck stop town". Nothing spectacular but the necessities are right there if you need them.
