Hotel Guest Reviews of the Econo Lodge Chesterton
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.July 20, 2007

The hotel is very close to the Indiana Dunes beach and easy to find, which is nice. The rooms were overall fairly clean and the staff was as accommodating as they could be. We had a quiet night and were able to go out eraly the next morning.

I tried to contact you through your customer service hot-line and email, both failed. The hotel and room smelled like liquor, the bed linens in a non-smoking room had burn holes; the hotel and room were filthy.

I have stayed at this Econolodge during my visits to Chesterton and feel quite satisfied with their efforts. A simple breakfast assortment is appreciated. It has been quiet during my last three stays there. I appreciate that they do not make questionable television channels available. This hotel is close to several dining spots and is near a pharmacy and grocery store. I intend to return there upon my next visit. ...

I was totally disappointed to arrive at the hotel and be greeted by the unfriendly desk clerk. The worst thing was how DIRTY this hotel was! I was totally appalled by the built up filth! The hotel was very outdated, which I didn't mind, but I have never stayed at a hotel that was so DIRTY, UNKEPT, and UNFRIENDLY! I will NEVER stay at an Econo Lodge again!

I would never stay there again as it was a dirty hotel with holes in the sheets and the carpet was filthy. A hotel employee walked in the room without knocking while our family was asleep they advertised a continental breakfast which consisted of stale donuts. Also no hot water for showers and the ceiling in the bathroom was about to fall in. We asked for clean towels the second day and didn't get any so had to hunt down the hotel staff to get fresh towels. No iron or hair dryers in the room. It smelled and I was very disappointed in the hotel. ...
